The purpose of the group is to provide support for people associated with the university world (academics of all shades, grad students, etc.) who find it difficult to prioritise things which are Important but not Urgent (in the Top Left Quadrant of a grid of same). Anyone can come play, just play nicely! We strive to "structure our days/in elegant ways" to make room for what really matters...

Interim check-in
If anybody's missing the group or the accountability between sessions, here's a place to check in or just chat. I hope you're all doing well!

Okay, I'm not sure I really have anything to say besides that, but that might have something to do with being cross-eyed with grading. Hi all! Move like water. Do the best you can.
I miss you all! I desperately need to check in and set my goals for the week to keep me accountable. Here they are: 1. set up trans dataset 2. send out relat paper with questions to co-authors 3. get age paper done 4. write trans intro and methods 5. do trans quant analyses 6. read a few more gender papers and add to intro 7. call stupid endnote about their stupid product and how stupid it is 8. write a generic methods section 9. create a fillable form for the scoping review
Not sure if this happened since our last update, but I signed with the university in NYC and will be moving there this summer (will still be a postdoc) - so am stressing big time about housing and affording housing. I was excited for like 3 mins and then reality hit me.
I hope you are all doing well! Check in! Set interim goals!
I have always wanted to live in NYC for some limited time---a year or two---and do all the NY things, then move back to somewhere more spacious, less expensive and less stressed. Try to make the most of it while you're there, knowing that it won't be forever.
Waffles, is this a move you are making with your mentor? Well, it seems that congratulations are in order despite the stress, so congratulations! I'm glad we'll be able to follow your progress and support you this summer.
Yes! I technically start next month but don't have to move there till late summer. She started months ago, but can't move quite yet. So, I'm trying to time our moves to be at similar times.
Me! I'm missing the group!

Good luck with the grading! I hope it will be over soon.
DeleteI've been missing the group too, but I guess it will start up again soon. Hang in! Float like mist!
Me three!
DeleteAnnotated maps down, object biographies to go. Move like water, be kind to yourself everyone.
